Teaching
Teaching constitutes a very important activity of EL
COLEGIO MEXIQUENSE, having an experience of 15 years, when the Masters in Social
Sciences with speciality on Municipal Development first started. In this way,
the institution has a very close relationship with society via the training of
human resources, enabling them to pursue either research and teaching with high
qualifications, or activities in the public and private areas.
After 15 years of continuous work, EL COLEGIO MEXIQUENSE
started its PhD programme in Social Sciences (research) in order to offer the
students the knowledge, techniques and analytical tools of the social sciences
to pursue formal and integral studies in its different fields and disciplines
and carry out studies of regional, national and international interest. The
programme has the following research topics: State and civil society; municipal
development and public policies; population, environment and territory;
globalisation and development; education and ethnic history and history. The PhD
programme is part of the Academic Excellence Standard of the National Council of
Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, Conacyt).
This programme was created in 1987 as a commitment to
support the institutional strengthening of different municipalities facing their
demanding political, economical, legal, administrative and sociocultural reality.
It is a two year course and is part of the Academic Excellence Standard of the
National Council of Science and Technology (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y
Tecnología, Conacyt).
